This is from the TOWN PLAN STEERING GROUP.
We are local residents who volunteered to find out what the other people of Cricklade want for their Town. The Group is totally independent of Wiltshire and Cricklade Town Councils, but has their support. In this way we can pass on to the Councils our views on important issues.
THE CONSULTATION PERIOD HAS NOW CLOSED
Paper copies of the draft Plan are available at the Town Council Office or Leisure Centre and online by clicking on the following link:
Cricklade Consultation Draft Town Plan
A pdf copy of the recent consultation questionnaire is available by clicking here:
Questionnaire
However please note this is for reference only as we are unfortunately unable to accept further responses for this phase of the Town Plan.
Results of the consultation
and where we go from here
will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting on 30th April 2012
Does this have anything to do with the Localism Act or the Community Campus?
The changes that the Localism Act makes to planning policies means new threats, but also gives opportunities, for the development of communities like Cricklade. We hope this Town Plan gives us a head start in taking advantage of the new powers of this Act. But it is also an important document that will be used to help inform our Councils and other agencies when they want to know what our priorities are as a community as they make their own plans. The recent consultations on a Community Campus for Cricklade were part of a Wiltshire Council initiative designed to find out how best to provide council services in future. The outcome of this Campus process is complementary to, but largely independent of, the Town Plan.
Your Town....Your Future....
Your Responses WILL make a Difference
With Kind Regards
From the Cricklade Town Plan Steering Group
