Cricklade Cycling Festival
The annual Cricklade Cycling Festival takes place in September and incorporates a number of cycling events:
Children up to the age of 16 can take part in the
Cricklade Go-Ride Racing event which is on Saturday, 6th
September - the venue is Cricklade Leisure Centre and the start time is 12noon. Later that same day, the Cricklade Kermesse takes place. This is in its third year and attracts competitive cyclists who race round a circular route for a total of 50 miles, travelling through Cricklade and Chelworth, where spectators get a great view of the action. The race starts at 4pm from Cricklade High Street.
The final event of the Festival is the Via Roma Sportive - a
non-competitive cycle ride open to everyone - which takes place on Sunday, 14th September. Race HQ is Cricklade Leisure Centre and entrants can choose to cycle either 40 or 80 miles, cycling through the picturesque Cotswold countryside.

Long Close
We are really pleased to announce that after many months of clearance work, the dew pond at the far end of Long Close has been reinstated to its former glory. Out of sight for years, this a naturally occuring feature and water levels will fluctuate on a daily basis.
